Head Chef/talented Sous Chef

We are looking for a Head Chef/talented Sous Chef ready for the next step. An exciting opportunity to join and grow with us at Isha Patisserie which is located in one of the largest out- of-town retail park in the UK, Fosse Park.

We have recently designed a new menu that will explore the culinary world and heighten your standards as a chef. We have created a new fun and upbeat environment specialising in pastries, breakfast, lunch, desserts and coffee and afternoon tea.

 

With the skill set made up of many varying responsibilities including:

  • Controlling and directing the food preparation process
  • Managing, guiding and working closely with other Chefs of all levels
  • Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality at all times
  • Determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
  • Ultimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines
  • Being responsible for health and safety and hygiene practices

To land a job as a Head Chef you will need a minimum of:

  • Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace Award
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • Awareness of manual handling techniques
  • Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety
  • Experience of kitchen equipment
  • The right to work on the UK

Alongside some of these more general skills, all good Chefs should possess:

  • Excellent knowledge of all sections
  • Ability to produce excellent high-quality food
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Team management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus those around you
  • Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
  • Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work
  • Positive and approachable manner
  • Team player qualities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000 – £32,000.00 per year
